Adolescence is a complex period filled with various changes and demands. Teens must balance social and academic pursuits while navigating the hormonal and physical changes that are an inherent part of adolescence. Additionally, their growing desire for autonomy often results in a need to distance themselves from their parents as they prove their ability to take care of things on their own. Because of the characteristics that are integral to this stage of life, I firmly believe that all adolescents benefit from a personal space where they could explore their inner worlds and solidify their identities.

For younger patients, art and play therapy are my key approaches. Play therapy is based upon the fact that play is the child’s natural medium of self-expression. By creating a warm and safe environment, children feel free to express their thoughts and feelings through art and play. Through the therapeutic process children gain insight into their feelings and develop the skills to express their feelings verbally.
I offer individualized therapy tailored to each person’s needs. My work addresses a variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, life transitions, bereavement, and sexual identity exploration. I invite my patients to be curious about themselves and the obstacles that keep interfering with their personal growth. Some phases of the therapeutic process are difficult, but many have found long lasting changes with my therapeutic approach.
